Midsummer Night

Hi! ^_^

Midsummer is kind of big thing here in Finland... I don't even know why (???), but anyway we celebrate it : DD So this look was kind of inspired by Midsummer nights. :)

I have been lately quite distracted by different matters, so I haven't done makeups so regularly than'normally'. I try to catch up in the next week!

Also I ask to understand that the time I start at the school, I'll not be able to do makeup looks everyday - maybe weekends and if I have day off from school. :)

SWEET TREAT COSMETICS

I recently came across with this small makeup company and I can only say I couldn't be happier with it!

STC is a small makeup company which is concentrates to use safe ingredients in their makeup! The owner wants everyone to know what ingredients she had used in her products which is a extremely amazing - for me at least.

She also tries to make her products as hypo-allergic as possible. Isn't that great or what, since people in modern world seems to have great amount of different allergies!!! (also some allergies can indicate that you may get allergic reaction from some cosmetic ingredients in the future <--- this is what was told to me when I applied to the cosmetology school.)

School Result...

"Endless Nights"

Two months ago I applied to cosmetology school and on top of that to over 7 more schools.

I went thorough entrance exams, info evenings and lastly the interview which was the most important step. I had to deal with great amount of stress.

As I received the invitation to the interview of the cosmetology education, I was already then over the moon just 'cause I haven't been in a school for a year now as I failed the university exams last summer.

Last thursday I got the results from the cosmetology school and....

I MADE IT!!!! I'M COSMETOLOGY STUDENT!!! <3

I scored 8/10! :D

They didn't care about my poor math skills, it surely was my personality that was more important!

HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!!! (Oh really?? Couldn't tell...)

Let the journey begin. :)
Only downside is that I have to wait till August the schools to start! >_<

Dreams do come true.

It has been long time since I was this proud of myself. :))

I really like the tube of Makeup Geek lipsticks. It's simple, but elegant with the black ornament on it. + The lid has a 'WINDOW' on it so you can see the color without opening the tube! Really clever thought - I feel like they have really took in consider all the makeup artists that use lot of different colors everyday with their clients <--- no I don't have clients 'cause I'n no PRO, but I can symphatize :P

"Shy" Lipstick with "Burleque" eyeshadow. Wearing them both today ;)
The lipstick became immediately my everyday lipstick because of the color. (I'm still testing if it feels dry or 'uncomfortable', but I don't think so. At least not yet I have had a urge to bite my lips and thats a good sign. :D

While ago I was asked about ordering from Makeup Geek. At the time I hadn't bought anything from them, 'cause I won the shadows from the Facebook contest. (Can you believe, I'm yet this new with MUG that this was my first purchase?) :D

But now I do want to tell about the ordering from them!

Endless Nights

Hey! It's going to be a really short post - it's already 1:16 am here as I write this. I'm not in sleep yet 'cause I'm so nervous about the results of the cosmetology school. The letters from the school should arrive in the morning. I know staying up won't fasten the time, but I cant help it, if I'm nervous/scared.

Anyway! I did a really quick eye makeup today using the MEOW COSMETICS "ENDLESS NIGHTS" from the "JOYS OF SUMMER" Seasonal collection. :))

I only did this to my other eye, so there's (at least yet) no whole face photos this time. I was also already out of sunlight as some of you may notice.

* Inglot eyeprimer

* smoke gray shadow (Inglot, but I can't remember the number and just now I'm too lazy to get up from the bed. Sorry! :D)

* Medium brown eyeshadow (BH Cosmetics 120 palette 2nd edition)

* Too Faced Glitter Insurance

* Meow Cosmetics "Endless Nights" (Joys of Summer Seasonal Collection)

* Sugarpill Cosmetics Pressed Eyeshadow "Tako"

1. Prime your lid.

2. Pat some glitter insurance to the lid so that you live the outer half without.

3. With a flat stiff brush apply thin leyer of the grey color to the center of your lid (on top of the glitter insurance). NOT in the crease.

4. Take "Endless Nights" and pat it everywhere you had that glitter insurance (also on top of the grey shadow)

5. Take either fluffy dome shaped blending brush or a stiff dome crease brush and add the grey color to the outer-v and slightly to the crease.

6. With a blending brush and the medium brown eyeshadow, blend the grey color. (softens it little bit.)

7. Swipe your white color to the teardot and to the brow bones highest part as a highlight.

8. Line the lower lashline with the medium brown shadow. (optional.)

9. Line your waterlines with a black kohl pencil (optional.)

(10. I almost always do the winged liner with the liquid liner.)

11. Add mascara.

DONE. :)

Iron Man Inspired

Wihii, I was subconsiously inspired by Iron Man (From Iron Man and The Avengers). BTW, I haven't seen the Avengers movie... Bohoo :((
This was meant to be only in Facebook, but I've changed my mind. I know there must be hunders of looks that are really much like mine, but anyway. I wasn't meant to do this - only after I had done the upper lid I got that 'hey!' moment and added the blue liner to get the Iron Man colors. :D

Meow; Joys of Summer

1st. of June Meow Cosmetics launched their newest Seasonal Limited Edition Collection called "Joys of Summer". All the names of the eyeshadows, blushes and bronzers of this collection is named by the customers! They had this naming contest where you could tell your "joys" of summer.

Luckily two of my name suggestions were chosen in this collection! :) ("Heatwave" and "Lazy Days")

As a prize I could choose one full size eyeshadow (Meow Cosmetics sell also sample sizes!!). It was a hard thing to do, 'cause they're all so pretty!!! >_<  

In the end I wanted "Heatwave" (Tehee, named by me. :D), 'cause red eyeshadows seems to be so rare.

"Heatwave" is berry red with a golden sheen.

Because I also made an order at the same time, I also received 2 sample sizes from the "Joys of Summer" collection. :)

"Midnight Sun" (www.meowcosmetics.com)

Midnight Sun is "intense blue with strong purple fire ". I would say a blue with a purple hue.

There's something really eery on this color... : DD

"Endless Nights" (www.meowcosmetics.com)

Endless Nights is purple with silvery shimmer. (Really shimmery!! Yet subtle)
