LOTD: CUPCAKE TOPPING

This is a look my class mate actually did couple of times to me during our makeup period.
It was honestly the only makeup I kept the whole day after the class and the only makeup I have recreated since it to myself allready couple of times.
Only thing is that I added some of my own things to it (The winged liner and white waterline). The "Original one had only a really thin blavk liner (not winged), and the pink was matte color.

I think this really emphesizes blue eyes! :)
This also compliments my red hair (which hasn't changed after I colored it red haha :D I will stick into it!)

Remember to "LOVE" this at Makeup Geek Idea Gallery! (CLICK THIS)

Here's how you can achieve this look (the eyes)!

1. Apply a base (Mine was just a white kohl pencil)

2. Pat a dark grey eyeshadow to the outer corners and blend carefully towards the inner corner (Don't bring the dark too close to your inner corner or it will close up your eyes) [Small blending brush]

3. Pat the matte pink eyeshadow to the lid [Flat stiff brush

4. Add some light to the eyes by feathering the white eyeshadow from the inner corner towards the pink (little bit over it also) [Flat brush, soft rounded brush]

5. Feather some of the grey color on top of the pink, towards the center of the lid. [small flat brush]

6. Take a synthetic brush, wet it little bit and add a shimmery pink eyeshadow on top of the matte eyeshadow (By wetting the brush, you get the metallic effect. You can also use some kind of mixing medium like Inglots' Duraline) [Sythetic flat brush]

7. Do a lower lashline shadow with grey and black [Little pencil brush] (If your eye are small, skip this step or line only half away like I have done.)

8. Line the upper lashline with your favourite liner.

9. Add mascara

DONE! :)

Color Challenge: Purple and Yellow

Morning!! (I'm mentally still asleep).

Yesterday at makeup class one of my classmates said I shpuld do a purple + yellow makeup for her sometime.
... I got scared xD
'Cause I find that usually yellow looks really good only on darker skin tones.

And purple.... well, we don't want a bruised eye effect :D

But I took a challenge and as I got a day off today from school I tought I would try out a purple + yellow eye makeup.

Here's only one look for now. My eyes are so dry from washing the makeup away all the time in school + in home so they tear really easily. Can't create many looks on same day at the time, sorry :(

To achieve this look I used:

Face:
* Elite Fluide Perfection Foundation in "Opale" (Little too yellow for me)
* Meow Cosmetics mineral foundation in "Chausie (0-inquisitive)"
* Makeup For Ever Taupe eyeshadow for contour
* Makeup Geek Eyeshadow "Cupcake" as Blush (faded away in photo)

Eyes:
* Inglot base
* NYX Jumbo pencil "Milk"
* Makeup Geek e/s "Yellow Brick Road" (lid)
* Makeup Geek e/s "Goddes" (crease)
* BH Cosmetics 120 palette 2nd edition, 3 shades of purple (Lower lid)
* Inglot grey e/s (outer corner of the lower lid)
* Makeup Geek e/s "Gold Digger" (Highlight on the browbone and tear duct)
* Makeup Geek gel liner "Immortal" (Winged liner and upper waterline)
* Nyx Jumbo Pencil "Milk" (Lower waterline)

EOTD: MAGPIE

Sugarpills' pigment "Magpie"... Gorgeous deep, dark blue, glittery color I never manage to photograph properly. *sigh*
Flash, no Flash, natural light, no natural light, I have tried them all.
But I am determinded to keep trying.
Anyway here's a look featuring the "Magpie" pigment from Sugarpill. I have used it so little 'cause I feel I suck with blues and greens :( (Not to mention with glittery pigments which I tend to drop all over my face xD)

Products used in this look:

* Lime Crime eyeshadow base (sample)
* Nyx Jumbo Pencil "Milk"
* Makeup Geek e/s: "Corrupt" (Black), "Poolside" (Bright Blue with hint of gold)
* Sugarpill Loose Shadow "Magpie"
* BH Cosmetics 120 palette 2nd edition (2 shades of blue)
* Sugarpill Cosmetics Pressed e/s "Tako" (White)
* Inglot Liquid Liner #25 (Black)
* Makeup Geek Gel Liner "Immortal" (Black)
* Maybeline Colossal Waterproof Mascara

The numbers indicate the place of the each color, not the order.

1. Apply your eyeshadow base. Or if you don't have any primer, use a thin coat of concealer.

2. Apply a white base (mainly to the center and inner corner of your lid). Mine was Nyx Jumbo Pencil "Milk", but you can also use white gel liner or white kohl pencil if you prefer.

3. Draw a cat eye shape with a black shadow and pencil brush towards your eyebrow. (You can use pieces of tape as your quideline to do this.)

4. Feather the blach shadow towards the middle section of your eye.

5. Take your dark blue pigment and pat that gently to the center of your lid (I applied it wet).

6. Take a mixture of light blue and mid blue shadow to your blending brush and add them to the crease to blend the black and dark blue together.

7. Feather the pure white shadow to the inner corners and slightly on top of the dark blue shadow. Also add the white to your browbone as a higlight color.

8. Add bright blue shadow to the lower lashline.

9. Darken the outer corner of your lower lashline with black (or if you prefer, with dark matte blue)

10. Line the waterline with black.

11. Make a winged liner with your liner (Liquid, pencil, shadow, gel which ever you prefer.)

12. Add generous amount of mascara.

YOU'RE DONE! :)
