Rant: Stop the time

Aaaaaargh, again so much time has gone by since I last time wrote. I have been so busy with school and makeup competition practises (and clients also). I'm overwhelmed how much work I have and how fast the time goes by - just stop the time for a while and let me breathe! >.<

Everyday after school I feel soooooo drained I could just fall to the bed and fell asleep in a second - specially after hairdo classes... 'Cause I suck at hair things. Here's a proof:

Yeah... I just don't have that "dimension" thinking skill (don't dare to say I'm wrong) .
***
I have hard time doing any makeup posts at the time 'cause all of my brushes are in school or wet because I have used them in school and then have washed them. :( So u just have to bare my rants at the time.

To the end, some pics:

Matchy hair and makeup color ;)

Ummm, yeah I turned into red head again xD brunette or dip dye wasn't my thing.

Fall is coming, enjoying last warm weathers :)

Hair day

Hello everyone :)

*sigh* I may have a really bad habit... As I'm upset or feeling down, I kind of tend to either color my hair or cut it. (Or I just get bored to the old color really quickly... Or both :D)
And I know! It's not so healthy to color your hair radically many times in a row... So don't do it! :D
At least I haven't bleach my hair entirely, I did it only once and it was in a salon and as I wanted to get rid of my black color.

Well, I have been red head just recently, but now I wanted to get rid of the red color. I didn't want to do a bleaching. And if u didn't know, red is a difficult hair color: it doesn't stay vibrant long, but it's a pain in the bottom to try color it away. :D
My only choice since I didn't want a bleaching was to color my hair with a cool brown color (to get the warmness of the red away) - I did this last time.

Now I colored with golden brown (seems darker than it should be, cause the red is still affecting on the bottom). And the added little obre effect, but just to my lower layers. I'm quite pleased, even if the bleached part is little carrot! :D :)

I sat under the bus shelter for almost on hour 'cause I was feeling down.
The graffitti looks quite cool beside my blue sweater and pink earplugs, don't u think!? :D

U may laugh at me, but I' actually planning on trying to do sone POKEMON  inspired makeup looks in near future. :P haha.

See u <3

Mixed Things

Hi evereyone,

I know I have been quite lately, I have so much stuff going on in my life right now. I can tell you something, but there are actually a... well I don't know is it really a 'big' problem - for me at least it is - and aout that I'm not rady to talk now (or even never).
I have a friend who's extremely supporting in this matter, so THANK YOU for being there for me! <3

Also the school has been keeping me away from the computer lately. There aren't much 'homework' since we are already technically working in the school as a cosmetologists (I didn't write that right, did I? haha :D), but I'm almost everyday freakishly tired after school. (Maybe also 'cause the worries, but anyway.)

~~~
Here you can see a 'facial care card'. We have now a facial care in school. This card is something we always fill before doing any facials. For example: we have to determine how big pores the clients has, is there blackheads (comedos) or is the skin sensitive. (there are more than only those.)
All of these questions help us to know if the client has normal skin, oily skin, dry skin or combination skin.
And as you can quess, when we know the skin type, we can choose the best products for it.
Lets say we have a client that has dry skin. We then choose to use products that are meant to add hydration in the skin. :) It would be no use to use oily skin products for dry skin - there are ingredients that dries the skin in the oily skin products. This way the skin would dry out even more! :D
This is why it would be really helpfull for all of us to really recognize what is our skin type. So that we can take care of it right way.
Sooooo, I've decided to help you little bit with that matter. I will do a post soon where I:
* Tell you about different skin types.
* Help you to recognize some typical features of each skin type.
* Tell little bit how to trat each skin type.
Sounds  good? :)) I wanted to do this, 'cause I have had a problematic skin and it was a pain to take care of it 'cause I really didn't know was I a combination skin or a oily skin - so I can emphatize if someone's having frustrations!! x)
~~~

But about that later. Here's a another dark makeup!! :D

I'm so sorry! I don't remember the products I used! xDD I have such a short memory these days!

~~~
Last but not least, I colored and cut my hair last weekend. :)))
Isn't it nice color? :P Me likey! (Even if I'm saying it myself.) I'm going to stay with reddish colors.
For those who didn't knew, I use to have pitch black hair. I was black haired until the spring 2012. ;)
I didn't want to invest money to the hair salon so I did my hair (coloring and cut) by myself. xD
DO NOT ABUSE YOUR HAIR LIKE I DID HAHA! <--- it looked like I was killing my hair. :'DD
But don't worry, I have REEEEEALLY thick hair, so it wasn't a bid deal even if I don't have a hair stylists way of cutting hair.
Oh, and my hair is healthy and shiny so no damages :D They way I cut it, just looked really brutal (from the point of my precious hair.... buhahaha xD)
That's all fror now. This post is a... chaotic mess of everything I have in my head right now - a word vomit!!!! hahaha.
Good day my lovies! :))
.... Need to go sleep... and it's only 4 pm. :DD
Goldwell StyleSign Straight
Left: SLEEK PERFECTION, Right: FLAT MARVEL
GOLDWELL STYLESIGN STRAIGHT:
FLAT MARVEL;
* Straightning gel
* For wavy or curly hair
* Helps naturally curly hair to staright more easily
* Will make the hair more straight after blow dry
* Smells really mildly
HOW TO USE; Spead the gel to towel dry hair and blow dry with a big paddle bursh. (Aproximately 4 pumps of the product if you have the full size package.)
MY OPINION - DOES IT WORK?;
LIKEY LIKE LIKE! I NEED this as a full size product, 'cause it really makes the naturally curly hair straight more easily. And that's not all ---> If I blow dry my hair without this, it will be really frizzy (like steel wool O.O).
This product makes the hair look and feel smooth, specially if you have got used to that frizzy look.
This DOESN'T make the hair entirely straight, it isn't meant to do that. I find that as a good thing, 'cause I don't necessarily want that all flat look.
I use ONLY the FLAT MARVEL if I want my hair to be sleek and non-frizzy, but not all straight. :3
I really tried, but I can't find any negatives out of this products :'D
NOTE; GREAT FOR THICK EUROPEAN HAIR.
~~~

SLEEK PERFECTION;

* Spray
* Contains no water
* For every hair texture
* Heat protection
* 50 % less hair snaps.
* Together with "HOT FORM" or "FLAT MARVEL" 80 % less hair snaps.
* Result; "Silky, smooth, gently straightend hair"

HOW TO USE; Spray at least  10 pumps into every hair section before using flat iron. (Dry hair)

MY OPINION;

Well, it's a heat protection... I honestly don't notice any huge differences between this and other heat/straighning sprays. :S

* Worked well
* The result was what the package claimed
* Liked that the product is really fine mist (not a heavy liquid like some)
* 10-20 pumps to every hair section is lot of product if you have thick hair (but the prize if you want REALLY straight hair.)
* Lightweighted

Even though I wans't THAT impressed, I think I will stick to this product ---- > The smell of this was much more pleasant than in my other heat protections! (And as some of you know, the SMELL of the product is important thing to me since I'm a headache prone person.)

OH! This didn't make my hair look dirty!!!!! <--- Some heat protectors can do that.

ONLY FROM BARBER SHOPS!
(I don't know any prices.)

Has someone else used these? If so,  what was your thoughts? Specially from the SLEEK PERFECTION.
( I think I have to take some comparison pictures of the FLAT MARVEL product. xD)

Mystery Vitamin

Hey!

Have you ever had that feeling when you brush your long, seemingly healthy hair with your hands and then you suddenly notice a BIG pile of hair on the floor and tangeld between your fingers? First thought usually among women is: "AM I GOING BALD?!?!" (And then we secretly wipe the fallen hair to the trash an with a squeezing feeling in our stomach. haha)

But fear not. (That sounded like some cartoon character.) You probably aren't going bald even if wad of loose hair can be scary vision. More likely you're just suffering from deprivation of vitamin called BIOTIN (also known as Vitamin-H).
For some reason Biotin is kind of a mystery vitamin for many of us. And by 'mystery' I mean many knows for example how important vitamin-C is... Or Omega-3.
But biotin... The first question I have heard when mentioning Biotin, is always: "What?" And then after that "What it does?" And then.... You get the point.

That's why I now try to little bit open this mystery for you by telling my own expierences with Biotin and by answering these common question. :)
(Feel like a ambassador of vitamin-H!)

WHAT IS BIOTIN?

- It's a vitamin which improves the quality of your hair and nails. It also can prevent hair to go grey! (Now ladies we don't want grey hair, don't we?)
- It takes part in manufacturing Keratin (protein and key structural of hair and nails.)
- It's sulphur 'based' vitamin (Sorry if I didn't express that with right term.) <--- Sulphud has an impact on the structure of your nails. Ex. garlic, onion and cucumber contains sulphud. (Yay! I can eat onion chips then?)
- Deprivasion causes; hair loss, fragile nails (ex.)

Picture's from Google

SO NOW WE KNOW THAT BIOTIN IS GOOD FOR NAILS, (SKIN) AND HAIR; BUT IS IT SAFE?

- YES! Biotin is safe. As a matter of fact, you get biotin from your regular diet (but quite tiny amounts).
Raw egg yolk, liver, some vegetables and peanuts contains Biotin. (These are the foods that contain relatively high amount.)

***

I think it's quite common to have a deprivasion of Biotin. I mean think about it; many of us 'suffers' from loss of hair and has... well quite poor nails. (And how many of us really eats everyday liver or RAW egg yolks... those foods which contains the high amunt biotin????)

For the hair deprivasion we usually blame the season, heat, lack of hair care, styling irons or regeneration.
And nails on the other hand... I at least use to say only; "I just have short, bad nails. They won't grow. Never, ever"
I was blaming my genes??? :D (Genes are only one factor.)
Personally I didn't even think about lack of some vitamin, 'cause my hair was growing quite fast already. It didn't cross my mind that there would be some combining factor between nail and hair growth. I saw hair, nails and skin as a individual parts (if that makes any sense). (BTW not anymore.)

THAT LEADS US TO MY EXPERIENCES WITH BIOTIN;

Last summer-fall my hair was badly falling down and it didn't grow well. My nails were even worse than my hair. (Let me tell you, they were so horrible that it seemed like I had scratch stones for hours with my nails. :D)
My skin was also really bad (dry and then again oily, spots, blemishes...), but I'm not going to tell about that matter too much 'cause I felt like biotin wasn't the answer for my skin problems.
Now when I look back I know that failing to get in school was one reason why my skin, nails and hair were so stressed out. (I was quite stressed out and also little depressed.) JUST WANTING TO REMIND; STRESS WILL AFFECT TO YOUR WHOLE BODY.

I ate biotin about month or two after hearing that it could help with my skin problems. Instead of my skin feeling better, I noticed change in my hair and nails;

NAILS

* My nails grew 'abnormally' fast
* They were strong (no more chipping)
* Healthy color (pink + white strip)
* I had to cut them frequently so that they aren't overly long

Seriously, some even asked me, if I had acrylic nails!

HAIR

* Grew also faster and stronger
* Was shiny
* Didn't have knots
* Weren't so frizzy (I have natural waves which makes my hair little frizzy)
* No more harsh hair loss

SKIN (?) (There were some little improvements)

* Somehow little smoother
* More healthy looking (healthy glow?)

MY BIOTIN CONTAINED;

* 5mg Biotin (10000% compared to the amount you get from diet in a day)
* 15mg Zink (150% -"-)
* 40mg Methionine
***

I was personally really happy with the 'results'/healthier body. This particular biotin is my absolute favourite, 'cause it contains also Zink (skin) so I don't have to take also Zink capsel.
Over month ago I tried also other Biotin capsels, but I didn't saw same kind of results with it. Maybe 'cause it contained only biotin and on top of that there was much less the vitamin in one capsel. (+ there were only 15 tablets)
I understand not everybody likes to eat 'extra' vitamins from jar, but personally I don't get all the vitamins that I need from my diet (specially what comes to these 'mystery vitamis'). :)

***

Would I then recomend trying biotin tablets?
- Yes. I do recomend trying biotin, if you feel like your hair or nails are feeling badly. (just make sure you read the product info carefully) :)

If you want more info or you have any further questions about my experiences with Vitamin-H, just e-mail or leave a comment. :)
(Finnish readers; Jos kiinnostuitte tästä kyseisetä biotiini tuotteesta ja haluatte tietää siitä enemmän, laittakaa meiliä niin sähköpostaan lisää infoa takaisin. :))
